The gym

A converted works on Alma Street with the racks along the long wall. Here is everything in it, by brand and quantity, plus the practical things — parking, showers, and how you actually get in.

The equipment list

Brands and quantities, because "fully equipped" means nothing. If something you need is not on this list, it is not in the building, and a coach will tell you that rather than finding out when you get here.

Parking
Twelve spaces on the yard, free, and two of them painted FORGE nearest the door for first sessions. The yard fills up around 17:30 on weekdays; on-street parking on Alma Street is free after 18:00 and all day Sunday.
Getting here
Shalesmoor tram stop is a six-minute walk — turn right out of the stop and follow the road down. The 7 and 8 buses stop on Infirmary Road. There is a covered bike rack inside the unit, not on the street.
Showers and changing
Two showers, two toilets and two lockable changing rooms, cleaned every morning. There are towels if you forget one. There are no lockers — bags go on an open shelf, which we would rather say than not.
Accessibility
Level access from the yard through the side door, no steps anywhere in the unit, and a ground-floor accessible toilet. The training floor is one open room. If there is something specific you need to know, ring and ask for Divya.

The most common question we get is which door. It is the normal one to the left of the big roller shutter, and it is unlocked from fifteen minutes before every session. There is a photograph of it onthe first session page.
