The other half of the price
What you are not
signing up for
The norm in this industry is a price you have to ask for, a twelve-month tie-in, and a cancellation that goes through a retention call. None of that applies here, and it seems more honest to print the exit terms next to the price than to wait until you ask.
Included
- Coaching in every session — a coach runs the class, they do not just count it
- A written programme after your fourth week, on paper, yours to keep
- Open gym hours on your membership, not as an add-on
- Chalk, and the bars and plates to use it on
- Showers, towels if you forget one, and somewhere to leave a bag
- Somebody who knows your name and what you lifted last week
Not included
No joining fee
The first month costs the same as the twelfth. There is no admin charge, no induction fee and no card fee.
No minimum contract
Membership is monthly. You can stop at any point with 30 days’ notice — that is the whole of the notice period, not a rolling twelve months.
No cancellation phone call
One email ends it. You will get a reply confirming the date and nothing else. Nobody will ring you to ask why.
No app required to book
There is a booking page on this site and there is also a whiteboard. Both work. You will never be asked to download anything.
No personal-training upsell in your first month
Nobody will offer you one-to-one sessions until you have been coming for a month, and then only if you ask.
No contract at the free session
You will not be handed a form at the end of the hour. We ring you once. If you do not want to join, that is the end of it.
How to cancel
Send an email to the address below saying you would like to stop. You will get a reply confirming the last date you are charged, and that is the entire process. No phone call, no form, no exit survey, and nobody will offer you two months half price to stay.
Notice is 30 days. If you email on the 3rd, your last charge is the one you have already paid and you can train until the 2nd of next month.
Before any of that, there is a free hour
The first session costs nothing and commits you to nothing. No card details are taken, no direct debit is set up to hold the slot, and there is no form at the end of it. We ring you once afterwards and send one text if we miss you.
If you would rather know exactly what the hour involves before booking it, it is written out minute by minute — including the parts that are just a shelf and a tap.
